Serves 3-4
Ingredients:
Pizza dough (Recipe below)
3/4 cup marinara sauce
1/2 cup canned pineapple chunks, liquid drained
1/4 pound Canadian bacon (If you can't find it, use honey ham.)
3/4 pound grated Monterey Jack cheese
Pizza Dough
1 1/4 ounce package active quick rise dry yeast
1 tsp. sugar
1 cup warm water
2 cups flour
1 tsp. garlic salt
3 Tbsp. olive oil
Cooking spray
Make Dinner:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a medium mixing bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar for pizza dough in warm water. Let stand until milky and foamy, 8-10 minutes. Add flour, salt and olive oil. Use bare hands to blend dough quickly until combined. On a lightly floured surface knead dough for 2 minutes. Do not over knead. Roll dough 1/4" thick onto 12" round pizza stone coated with cooking spray. Once a complete circle has been formed, use a very sharp knife to cut a large 'V' at the top of the circle of dough. Remove 'V' to create top of heart. Then, cutting diagonally, remove 1 inch of dough on each side of the circle creating a point at the bottom of the circle, completing the heart shape.
Spread marinara sauce in a thin even layer on top of pizza dough. Top with slices of Canadian bacon and sprinkle with pineapple chunks. Top evenly with grated cheese. Bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees until cheese is bubbly. Allow pizza to rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
