Ingredients:
12 oz. garlic herb fettuccini
2 tsp. sea salt
1/2 pound bacon
1 small shallot, diced
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 cup half and half
1 pound langostinos
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
Red chili flakes (optional)
Make Dinner:
Bring 6 quarts of water to a boil in a large pasta pot. Add 2 tsp. sea salt to water. Add pasta and boil until al dente, about 10 minutes.
While pasta is cooking, chop bacon into 1/4 inch pieces. Sauté in a large frying pan over medium high heat until almost cooked through, about 5 minutes. Drain all but 2 Tbsp. of the bacon fat from the pan. Add diced shallot and sauté another 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium. Add lemon juice and half and half. Mix well and bring to a low simmer. Add langostinos and simmer in sauce for 5 minutes more. Add salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese and mix well. Drain pasta and add to sauce. Toss to cover pasta completely with sauce. Serve pasta topped with red chili flakes to taste.
