Ingredients:
2 pounds calamari steaks
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups Panko bread crumbs
2 Tbsp. olive oil
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. freshly chopped parsley (optional)
2 lemons or limes, cut into wedges
Make Dinner:
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Dip each calamari steak into beaten egg, then into Panko bread crumbs. Use hands to ensure even coverage of bread crumbs. Place steaks into hot skillet. Fry calamari for 4-5 minutes per side until crispy and golden brown. Serve whole with a crisp side salad and plenty of lime wedges. Or, slice into strips and serve as an appetizer.
