25 minutes (10 minutes prep, 15 minutes to cook)
Makes 8 6 inch subs
Ingredients:
4 12" hoagie rolls
Mayonnaise
Deli mustard
16 slices of deli ham
12 slices of hard salami (these are the large slices!)
24 pepperoni slices
12 slices provolone cheese
8 sandwich pickle slices (makedinner.net prefers claussen kosher dill sandwich slices)
12 slices of white onion
12 tomato slices
Make Dinner:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Open each hoagie roll and spread mayonnaise and a pinch of mustard on each side. On one side of the roll, layer 4 slices of ham, 3 slices of hard salami, and 6 slices of pepperoni. Cover meat with 3 slices of provolone cheese. On the other side of the roll, layer 2 pickle slices, 3 slices of white onion and 3 tomato slices. Close sandwich and wrap in aluminum foil. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve with seasonal berries and a bottle of chilled white wine or ice cold beer. The perfect summer picnic!
