Makes 40 wontons
Ingredients:
1 pound lump crab meat
8 oz. cream cheese
2 Tbsp. Old Bay Seasoning
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1 14 oz. package won ton wrappers (Found in the refrigerated section of your supermarket.)
3 cups canola oil
Sweet Chili Sauce (We like the Mae Ploy brand.)
Make Dinner:
Bring cream cheese to room temperature to soften. Combine crab meat, cream cheese, Old Bay Seasoning and green onions in a medium sized mixing bowl. Use a spatula or wooden spoon to blend ingredients thoroughly. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium high heat. To fill, place 1 tsp. of crab mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten fingers with water and gently 'paint' along the edges of the wonton wrapper. (Chef's Note: Keep a small bowl of water on hand to dip fingers into. The water will help to seal the wonton wrappers for cooking.) Fold one corner of the wrapper across the wonton diagonally and adhere it to the opposite corner to create a triangle shape. Bring the other two corners of the wonton together and seal. Fry each wonton for 3-4 minutes in hot oil until golden brown. Remove from oil and drain for 1-2 minutes on paper towels. Serve immediately with sweet chili sauce.
